Nice neighborhood tavern for a quick meal. Not consistent food quality. Tried the burger a couple of times and they were very different. Friend got a Caesar salad and it was served in a warmed bowl which affected the texture and flavor.

Anytime I’m in Chicago I have to visit Jack Melnick’s. The food, atmosphere and staff are amazing. We had Adam today and he was on top of everything! Kudos. Oh and this one time, we got the giant pretzel! It’s HUGE!!!! Give the Spiced Cider a try! It was delish! Gives me fall vibes.

Tried this spot since everyone hypes them up for having the best wings in town. Honestly, the experience was decent but not mind-blowing. The buffalo and BBQ wings were okay. Cooked fine, decent flavor, but nothing that really stood out or made me feel like, “yeah, this is the place for wings.” The buffalo chicken sandwich was pretty average too. Not bad, just nothing special. The surprise was the fries... crispy, well seasoned, and definitely the best part of the meal. If anything, I’d go back just for those. Overall: solid spot, but based on the hype I expected a little more.

Had a wonderful experience for my first time at Jake Melnick’s Corner Tap! Food was amazing and cooked perfectly. I had the wings which were voted Chicagos best in 2025 per the Chicago Wingout Festival and they were really well done, bravo guys keep up the great work. Crispy and juicy, I got the spicy buffalo and I like it when it’s actually spicy, but not overwhelming and they were just that. I also got the Korean BBQ which are grilled and dry seasoned first and they were a great mix of sweet and savory. Really nice to mellow out the spicy buffalo. I also was there for happy hour and they have a great special for 14.95 for a Smash Burger w fries and a beer! Can’t beat that especially in the heart of the city, I was very impressed and it was delicious. I think I liked the burger as much as the wings and I’m a wing fanatic so that’s a good burger. Also to top it all off they do trivia nights on Tuesday and anyone can join in, it was a fun experience and a little test of knowledge and most the people there seemed to be playing so it was a really fun vibe. All in all 5 stars all around! I didn’t get the bartenders name who served me but she and another guy were both really attentive and on point I will definitely be back soon! Thanks again!

For the folks who can tolerate the heat, the spicy wing challenge would be worth it, probably the easiest in terms of time limit and rules. The other food also tasted good. The service was pretty quick.

A down-to-earth watering hole with great ambience and great tap line-ups. The plates they serve go heavenly with beers and their wings are absolutely worth trying, at least sharing for the table.

Not every place nails chicken across the board, but Jake Melnick's Corner Tap honestly impressed me. I tried a mix of their different chicken wings, a crispy chicken sandwich, and some chicken tenders, and everything came out hot and packed with flavor. The wings had a great crisp on the outside and were tossed well in sauce without being soggy, and there were plenty of flavor options to choose from. The crispy chicken sandwich was juicy with a crunchy coating that held up nicely, and it felt hearty enough to be a full meal on its own. The chicken tenders were simple but done right, tender inside with a solid crunch outside. The atmosphere felt energetic and fun with plenty of TVs around, but it was still easy to have a conversation. The staff were friendly and kept things moving without making it feel rushed. Portions were generous, so it definitely felt like good value for what you get. It is the kind of place that works just as well for a laid back dinner as it does for watching a game with friends.

Alright so here I was, I missed my layover flight at ORD and has to spend the night. Rented a car to go explore the city. Asked a few ppl where to go and they recommended this spot THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT . Beers were on point, and I legitly been telling my self these poncho wings are the best I ever had, they were so delicious and the Parmesan fries were amazing. But most importantly the vibes in there were on point. Bartenders were great but special shout out to the older gentleman with the glasses and the younger one from Ecuador. I was not in Chicago for long but this place did it, and I will make sure every time I am in town I stop by this place. Made my 1 night experience in Chaco great. I def recommend if you can’t tell by no. P.S, South Asia host at the front door is really pretty also
